Darrell Kestner | Advisor/Featured Professional

We are proud to have Darrell Kestner as the Director of Golf at Golf & Body NYC. Darrell has been the Director of Golf at Deepdale Golf Club in Manhasset, New York, for the past 23 years. He played the PGA Tour in 1981 and 1983 and over five decades has competed in18 Major Championships including 8 U.S. Opens and 10 PGA Championships, plus 11 Senior Major Championships.  In 1984, Darrell won the Charlie Pride Fiesta, a Nationwide Tour event, and in 1996 he won The National Club Pro Championship by setting a new tournament record, 17 under par. He also is a two-time FootJoy National Assistant’s Champion and has captured three Metropolitan Opens, five Met PGA Championships, two New York State Opens, and four Long Island PGA Championships. 

Among his other accomplishments, Darrell was PGA of America National Senior Player of the Year in 2004 and ’05. He’s also be names Metropolitan Player of the Year three times and Metropolitan Senior Player of the Year five times. His instruction awards include being named Metropolitan Teacher of the Year in 1997, Bill Strausbaugh Award Recipient in 2008, and Metropolitan Horton Smith Award Recipient in 2012.

The very rare instructor who plays almost as well as he teaches, Darrell has worked with many tour pros, club pros, and amateurs on their games. He has been the featured speaker at numerous national and local educational forums. He is a frequent guest instructor on Golf Channel, particularly on “The Golf Fix,” which is hosted by his friend—and former first assistant—Michael Breed. Kestner has made the lists of Top 50 instructors by Golf Digest and Top 100 Teachers from Golf Magazine for many years. His greatest honor was induction into the Metropolitan PGA Hall of Fame in 2011 as it is the ultimate proof of his dedication to the game of golf and his continuing desire to help others enjoy and improve in the game he loves so much.


Ron McDougal | HEAD Professional

Frequently honored for his work as a golf professional, Ron has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 25 instructors in New York and New Jersey, and has been a featured instructor on Golf Channel. He also is one of the most accomplished players in the Met Area, having been a former National Club Professionals Champion, New York State Open Champion, and Metropolitan PGA Player of the Year. Ron also competed in five PGA Championships and qualified for three PGA Cup teams. Along with his success as a teacher and player, Ron has extensive experience in the operations of high-end private clubs, with stints at, among others, Old Westbury Golf and Country Club, Hollywood Golf Club, Liberty National Golf Club, and Century Country Club. Ron has distinguished himself among golf professionals with the ability to successfully manage all aspects of club and golf operations and his dedication to delivering the highest level of service to members and guests.

He is a native of Missouri City, Texas; Ron attended the University of Texas where he was co-captain of the golf team.



Golf Body NYC welcomes Eden Foster to our team of golf professionals. For the past 18 years, Eden has been the Head Golf Professional at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, New York, and the Head Professional at Calusa Pines in Naples, Florida, since 2001. Selected as a Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor, Eden has coached aspiring collegiate juniors, and tour players while working every day with the members of his clubs. Eden has had the honor to present at numerous Teaching and Coaching events and has written various instructional articles. Originally from Socorro, New Mexico, he was a member of the golf team at Eastern New Mexico University where he majored in Finance and minored in Psychology.

JOE OSTROWSKI | Director of Golf

Originally from Glen Cove, New York, Joe Ostrowski has extensive experience in high-end private-club operations having worked for some of the top PGA professionals in the nation. As an instructor, he has been influenced by Andrew Rice, Jim Hardy, and James Leitz. Joe is one of only 20 TrackMan certified master instructors in the U.S.

An accomplished player and graduate of Adelphi University (which was ranked number one in the Northeast his senior year), Ostrowski has competed in numerous national, regional, and Met PGA events.

Dale Gray | TEACHING Professional

A native of Sydney, Australia, Dale began his career at Kogarah Golf Club in Sydney. His desire to teach and train with the best lead him to the U.S. in 1996 to work with and learn from world-famous teacher Hank Haney.

In 2006, Dale joined the teaching staff at Chelsea Piers Golf Academy in New York City, where, two years later, he was named Director of Instruction. As a teacher and manager, he also developed a successful junior program that worked with young adults aspiring to play competitively in college and beyond.

Dale also has worked with a number of top tour players, including 11-time PGA Tour winner David Frost; two-time Australian Open Champion Robert Allenby; and Players Championship winner Tim Clark. He’s also been a guest instructor on Golf  Channel's “The Haney Project” and been published in Men’s Journal magazine.
